Our Mission
MagmaAlert is an independent monitoring dashboard that brings public volcano notices, selected webcams, maps, and alert history into one place. We organize this information to make it easier to follow a volcano over time. MagmaAlert is a software project, not a volcano observatory or emergency authority.
Where Our Data Comes From
For U.S. volcanoes, status notices link to the responsible U.S. Geological Survey observatory. For volcanoes outside the United States, available notices link to the relevant national monitoring agency. Webcam feeds may be hosted by observatories or other public providers; each feed is identified in the camera view when source details are available. Availability and update timing depend on the original provider.
MagmaAlert republishes and organizes public information; it does not independently verify every observation, issue official hazard assessments, or predict eruptions. Data can be delayed or unavailable. During an emergency, follow the responsible observatory and local authorities.
Who We Are
MagmaAlert is developed and maintained by its software team. Our work focuses on presenting public monitoring information in a readable interface and connecting visitors to the organizations that publish it. We do not claim to provide professional volcanological advice.

MagmaAlert is free to use. Advertising may help support hosting and development. Ads do not change or determine volcano notices, which are published by the listed source organizations.
