MagmaAlert is an independent information service that aggregates publicly available data from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of the USGS or the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory (HVO).
3. Data Accuracy & Availability
While we strive for high availability and accuracy, data is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We make no warranties regarding:
The timeliness of push notifications or data refreshes.
The absolute accuracy or completeness of volcanic activity forecasts.
The continuous availability of visual feeds or monitoring data.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MagmaAlert and its developers shall not be liable for any damages (direct, indirect, or consequential) arising from:
Decisions made based on information found within the application.
Failure of the service to deliver alerts in a timely manner.
Misinterpretation of technical monitoring data.
5. Responsible Use
Users are prohibited from reverse-engineering the notification system or accessing local infrastructure through unauthorized means.
MagmaAlert is a product of Independent Volcanic Monitoring. All volcanic status data is sourced from the USGS National Volcano Early Warning System (NVEWS).
